CLOSED: Any ideas?

I found this very pretty pink and yellow creature on one of my daylilies. I only had my phone to take a picture - tried to knock it off the plant and found it was dead. I wonder if it laid any eggs - and is it friend or foe?

Yep - that's exactly it. I've noticed some holes in the foliage in my beds. Any thoughts on how to kill any eggs that might have been laid?

Bacillus thuringiensis or Bt is used to destroy caterpillars in their younger stages. When ingested, the bacteria destroy their gut. It is non toxic to anything but caterpillars. (Safe for birds) Some trade names are Thuricide, Green Light Bioworm Killer; Dipel is the powdered form.
