Does anybody know what the soil temperature should be for starting seeds? I'm getting tired of waiting. Our weather goes from warm to cold to warm again, and now it's supposed to be in the 50s in a day or two, then not over 70 for the weekend. It's supposed to be in the 80s today, and has been for the last several days. Night time temps are in the 40s and 50s. I've got my seeds soaking and plan to plant them indoors, but I'd sure rather plant them outside!
Soil Temp for Seed Starting
You could try planting them in 4 gallon pots so you can bring them in if it is cold at night and leave them outside when it averages in the 60s at night.
MG's love bottom heat...70-75 degrees is ideal...if you have some way of providing them with some heat, they should be okay...
