Hi,
If a lily puts up a stalk will it usually have a flower bud on it also? Assuming it is healthy.

Not necessarily. It could be a young bulb's first attempt and will probably be a nice blooming stem next year.

Ok, I have a lot of seedlings and some have put up stems.
