A very special thank you for the So Cal round up............

San Diego, CA

I really want to thank everyone that I received such nice plants from today, and especially wanted to thank Don and Pam for another great round up. I want to tell all of you that it was great to meet you all, and to those I've seen before, it was great to see you all again. I want to appologize for leaving in a hurry today. I was supose to be at work today at 3 and I didn't even make it on the freeway until a couple minutes after. I just hope that next time, I have a whole day free to be able to spend it with you all. Thank you again to everyone for making me feel welcome and I really enjoyed everyone's company. Hope to see you all again next year.

Mark, every time I saw you you said you were leaving and then 10-15 minutes later, there you were, still there!

Rancho Cucamonga, CA

It was so nice to see you all again. I have a long list of thank yous so here goes:

Don and Pam, thank you so much for the hospitality, the food and the plants, they are all in the ground, pennywort is going to cover my walkways I hope. Thanks for the clean port a potties! Word just cannot express my appreciation for all you 2 did for us. Thank you so much for the book, I'm looking forward to reading it. Your words made my eyes well up with tears. I love you guys. That was an unexpected surprise.

Dave, it was so nice to finally meet you. How old are you? 13???!!?!? You're not too bad to look at either!

Donna, honey, thanks for the organization of this wonderful day. Without you, it wouldn't have happened.

Jo, thanks for attending to the registration table. I told you to pick my numbers for the raffle! Amy, you sweet little Navy girl. Thanks for telling me about the Miller Chill, my new beer of choice.

Fiona, what can I say, you learned Jethro Tull for us old fogies and what a wonderful job you did. If we can't have mariachi's then we'll take Fiona. She was much better and cheaper too.

Kathleen, thanks for making more room for plumeria's for me. If you need more, there's plenty here for you.

Dove, Laura, Matt, Good to see you once again. Laura please accept my apology for that stupid little mistake I made when I first met you. Matt, take care of my friend in Ohio. Dove, all was in fun and jest, you are not a b****. Hugs.

Mike, thanks for making me laugh all day. I still need to get you to meet Julie. Thanks for the Corona's, mom and aunt were a little worried, but we made it safe and sound. Hit a little traffic around the 91 of course, but made it safe no less.

Arlene, thanks for all your help in helping Donna pull this off once again. You're a good friend to Donna.

Karen, wow what can I say, thanks for coming to my rescue ;-). I was so happy to meet you. You're a hoot. Thanks for the brug and the mimosa (?). They're all planted and watered and will be well taken care of.

Spin, thanks for the iris, gotta get that in soon. Thanks for showing us how you spin and now I know why you're "Spin."

Quyen, you're so cute! I just want to squeeze you!

Rusty, drive careful and keep those pics coming. I hope you enjoyed my garden, I enjoyed having you there.

Dawn, so good to put a face to the name, your dd is a sweetie and I hope we didn't embarrass her too much. Hope your trip home was ok and traffic free.

Anyone I missed???? Everyone, thanks for making my year, this was a well need break from wedding plans and I forgot all about the wedding next Saturday. Wish us luck for a smooth day and add my dd and future sil to your prayers for a happy life together. I am so blessed.

Love to you all, again thank you all for making my day, my year, my week. Hope to see you all soon.

I forgot who brought the salad . . . my bad. But I need to know what the dressing was as I am now craving it. I will be flying back to Iowa tomorrow morning and would like to make it for my husband. ???? Does anyone know?

Temecula, CA(Zone 8b)

It wouldn't have been the same without you Mark. Both Pam and I were jazzed to see you and I'm especially stoked that you got another shot at growing D. imperialis. The gesneriad you took home was Gloxinia sylvatica.

We'll see you soon.
