Hi,
I have Lollypop growing on the north side of my house that gets 2.5' or so. However I have read that Lollypop is short around 1.5 feet or so. Do lilies get taller in less light? I wouldn't call mine lanky, and they have done well the past 2 years with morning & aft./eve. light.
Thanks

Lily height and light
All plants reach for the sun.
Yes, lilies that don't get enough sun get taller. Eventually, lilies planted in shady areas will decline, but if you don't mind replacing them every 3 years or so, then go ahead and have your shade lilies.
I must say, I have some lilies, been given their growing height in catalogs, and , even with full sun, been surprised at how much taller they are than the description. But yes, shady places will increase height.
I wonder how plant sizes are really recorded. I had an aster that was suppose to get 18" wide but got over 3' wide. Strange.
