Oh no!! 3 days without Daves Garden

Woodsville, NH(Zone 4a)

It has become such a habit of getting up in the morning, turning on my computer, fixing my cup of coffee and sitting down to browse through all the forums in DG.This probably sounds familiar to most of you.Now the problem is that my DH has decided he would like to leave early Tuesday morning and head to the wilderness in Northern Maine and spend three days camping on a pond in the woods for his vacation.
Now normally I would be very excited about a wilderness camping trip but this year strange things keep running through my mind.Tonight for instance I was thinking how will I get through 3 days without my computer. And then I thought how boring it's going to be to drink coffee in the morning with no DG.NO forums, no threads , no garden friends. Wahhhhhh, I don't want to go!

I understand exactly what you mean. My husband has mentioned that if this wasn't a gardening site he'd be worried about the amount of time I spend here. Thankfully, he is a gardener too :)

I didn't think I had it too bad until one of my daughters said, "I'm sick of hearing about Dave's Garden!" O well. One of the advantages(????) of having a dairy farm is that you never go on vacation! We'll still be here when you get back - have a good time, and when the withdrawal symptoms get too bad, take deep breaths and meditate on the wilderness.

Steady Girls. This all sounds like a serious addictive problem. Deep breathing and pure thoughts might help. LOL

Jeanne, I had to laugh at your Freudian typo, "go away for a few eeks"

It's so good to see I'm not alone and we all seem to have the same problem. No Lisa, I don't have a laptop. It's times like this that I wish I did.Oh well, tomorrow morning will be the last time leisurly having coffee and reading Dg for three days. Three whole days.72 hours! 4,320 minutes.Sounds like such a long time.

Snowhermit, check and see if you can rent a laptop, or get one on a trial basis....if all else fails..make DH stop
at some libraries on the way and use
theirs'. Poor thing, talk about withdrawal .....yikes, OMG!
