CLOSED: Moth or Bee?

Hi everyone! I found this curious little guy this afternoon having a snack. I haven't a clue as to what he is and he sure did buzz like a bee! It had a long black thing sticking out of where his mouth would be though. Any ideas? Thanks!!

moth, some type of hummingbird moth...cute, friendly little guys :))

Yes, one of the hummingbird / clearwing moths, maybe this one, the Snowberry Clearwing?

Moe, I think you're on to something there... the pattern on its backside sure looks right.
