Very cute Janet!!
And hey to Linthicum!! As usual such great pictures, great people, and a really respectale birdwatching thread! o/~
I started pages in the hummingbird and butterfly forum doing the same kind of thing.. we're on page 4 now. You all are welcome to drop in and post a pic on the fly..:-)
Deb
I was posting while you loaded all the pics, When I began typing you had only one there so far... Adorable birdies Janet!!
Hi Janet! I will certainly pop over for a look at the hummer/butterfly daylilies! I don't have much to contribute to those yet - but just wait till July and I hope to get some better shats than I did last year.
What adorable photos Unique!! Do you know what kind of sparrows these are? I can't tell from the pictures of the babies. Boy that sure is a BIG mouthful that baby is getting lol!
I'm having a great day spreading mulch and taking pictures. :-) Here is one of the Carolina Wren parents "bringing home the bacon"
Lily, fabulous photos! How I love that goofy little juvenile house finch!!
Resin, I'm thinking this could be a fox sparrow?
I'd say Song Sparrow. The head pattern isn't right for Fox.

Really nice pics Lily!
LOL, It does look like he's saying that!!
Beautiful birds folks. GP, that cardinal is vibrant. He doesn't seem to have as much black on him as others I've seen though. I wonder if that's a regional thing. Just curious about that. Seems like ours here have so much more black around their mouths, ummm, errrr, beaks.
Janet, somehow I missed your pics yesterday of the babies being fed - they are darling . . . and great captions!!!
Pelle, great shots - and, Deb, great answer (along with a super photo as well).
GP, marvelous closeup!!
Cute sneaker pic :)
Cute pic venu! We don't see too many pic of those.
I love catbirds and hardly ever see them here in Tn. Thanks for posting that one venu - what a great shot!
Gary, splendid photography - I've missed your posts!
Adorable sneaker photo, Venu!
Yes nice detail in that shot Gary; you can see so many individual feathers.
That shoe picture is priceless. My first thought - because of the rump color - was something like our towhee; I know similar birds from one area to another can look VERY different, but the beak was too far off. Now I'm glad I've finally seen a catbird, since I see them mentioned a lot. Handsome bird!
What nice photos! They do have a very pretty song.
Pelle - delightful!!! I especially love Mr. Finch's pose in the first one!
Oh how cute!!
I hope you all don't mind but I started a new thread which can be found here:
