Viburnum carlesii

Nantucket, MA(Zone 7a)

The Viburnum carlesii is opening and the fragrance is, as always, wonderful. This is the best bud set I have ever had with this shrub since planting it in the mid 80's. Patti

And on the cold end of the weather spectrum, mine has done exceedingly well also. Usually I a have a few flower buds here and there that don't make it through the winter, but this spring I think every one popped.

bbrookrd~what a pretty picture! I love your big wide bed and the dirt paths too. What is that tree to the left?

Thank you for the compliment. We have a lot of this native Scrub Oak, Quercus ilicifolia which we have pruned since 1982. They are my favorite indigenous tree, but lots of people just brush cut them down to replant with better known trees. I think they are gems. Patti

Scott (Decumbent) will really like that one.
