Which is this one supposed to be? Says dwarf climber..
Baby Blue
I've seen that one on the seed racks too. It has the exact same picture on the packet as Thompson & Morgan's 'Mini Sky Blue'... http://seeds.thompson-morgan.com/us/en/product/1710/1 ... which is an Ipomoea hirsuta cultivar... http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/53230/index.html
Gourd-Antoinette - the package photo you have posted here
http://davesgarden.com/forums/fp.php?pid=3466451
is the ubiquitous Ipomoea hederacea being marketed by yet another sales name...
To any and all that it may concern...
There is no Ipomoea species with the epithet hirsuta...it is Ipomoea hederacea...
This small flowered strain was first offered in 'modern' times by Thompson & Morgan as mini sky blue with the fictitious epithet of Ipomoea 'hirsuta'...
1) There is no Ipomoea hirsuta
2) Ipomoea hirsuta is an old outdated synonym
3) Ipomoea hirsuta does not exist
The plant pictorials advertised and being marketed as Ipomoea hirsuta are Ipomoea hederacea.
Here are some posts where I have repeatedly reported the fraudulent Ipomoea 'hirsuta' is in fact correctly Ipomoea hederacea

Here it is blatantly incorrectly mis-entered in the PlantFiles as Ipomoea hirsuta
http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/53230/index.html
I have notified the administrators that there is no legitimate Ipomoea species with the epithet of hirsuta...but some entries can take an extremely long time to get corrected...the exact real reasons for the protracted delays remain shrouded in 'arcane' bureacratic 'mysteries'...
Here is the offering on e-bay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220099555363&ih=012&category=75624#ebayphotohosting
the photo is taken from the Takii package
Takii is offering this in their mailorder catalog and through their official outlet stores in Japan which carry all of Takii's complete line of products.
Here it is entered accurately as Ipomoea hederacea
http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/53528/index.html
This misrepresentation of Ipomoea hederacea as the spurious Ipomoea 'hirsuta' occurs in a repeating cycle often enough and so it is prompting me to make the following statement:
I wish to take the oppurtunity to most emphatically reaffirm and categorically express to any/all persons reading this post now and to any/all such persons who may for many decades in the future read this that they may hereby know that I made a very strong statement and have taken the unmistakeable position that there is no current legitimate species as Ipomoea hirsuta....also reaffirming that the Earth revolves around the Sun and that the Moon is not made of cheese...
TTY,...

Thank you, Ron. I appreciate the information and attention to detail and correctness you have consistently provided in this forum! :-)
I appreciate the detail too . . . so much to learn!
What do you mean, the moon isn't made of cheese?!?!?
Well, that is good to know. I'll go relabel my pot. Thank you Ron.

Dee - Wow (!)...Takii at least got the species epithet right...even if they had alittle 'fun' with the additional vowel...
TTY,...
Ron
Ron, Takii uses what we call Japlish. Yeah I was laughing about what you said regarding Burpee in another thread. TTYL
Dee
Gourd - the relatively slight variation in the petal color and structure is a normal variant that shows up in wild Ipomoea hederacea...
Please post the almighty sepals(which evidence the backward curving tips) of both of the plants to provide conclusive objective proof of the fact that both plants are unquestionally Ipomoea hederacea...
Thanks for posting any important photographic clarifications...
TTY,...
Ron
Gourd-Antoinette - IDentity confirmed as Ipomoea hederacea for both the med-blue and the smaller lighter blue posted...
Takii does indeed have the species epithet accurately stated on their package...
Thanks(!)...
TTY,...
Ron
Thanks Ron,
I'm finally understanding what all this means.
A.
