I am wondering if these are aphids?? They used to be all over this potted red mum daisy to the point where the plant almost died (other conditions were contributing also) but I have brought the plant back, yet the are still a few malingerers. Thanks!
Yes, green aphids. Can be easily and safely eliminated by spraying with a solution of 5 tablespoons of liquid dishsoap to a gallon (4L) of water, or get some ladybugs.

a good jet of water will knock them off too. a little alcohol and water in a spray bottle works also.
Thanks all, thats what I suspected and I'll try the dishsoap first. I have heard that it works but usually my pests move on by the time I need to start really getting worried!!
