Newborn MGs

Orangeville, ON(Zone 4b)

I've been busy starting some new MG seeds and enjoying every minute of it. Here is one of my setosa seedlings "being born". This is probably a bad case of small things amusing a tired mind late at night, lol.

I misted the helmet every now and again to help make it easier

Aahhh, finally.....welcome to the world little fella! (I had to give it a little flick in the end)

Here's his brother who is a day older. Still a little wrinkley as expected with newborns but a nice army green color!

Another newborn from the day before last, Lavender Moonvine.
All is good in the nursery, and I'm expecting Stictocardia beraviensis to make an appearance shortly!

Erynne - really great pix! The setosa cotelydon is pretty - I must go look it up in the plant files to see what the flower and foilage look like.

Edited to say: so the setosa is the Brazilian MG, with thorns? cool.

Sure is fun, so much in fact that I'm neglecting my household duties.
Thanks Joanne. I really like the pictures that I've seen of I.setosa showing all of it's characteristics. I'll have to invest in some good gloves though eh,lol.

Thanks again Ronnie! ;p It's amazing how fast these two types germinated and I started 3 seeds of each with 100% germ. I'm keen to get going on the other types but I gotta slow down or else I will be swallowed by these vines.

Thanks for this fun forum. Here's a heart for y'all!
