Pinus sylvestris "Albyn's Prostrate"

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

I got a few shots of "Albyn's Prostrate" today amongst the phlox. I thought these turned out pretty good, so I thought I'd share them.

You know, I think it's actually Berberis x ottawensis "Superba," now that I think about it.

FINALLY, some conifers.

And what do you go and do; bury it in phlox. That phlox has its powdery blue eyes on your juniper and Thuja(?) also.

Nice pics Scott.

I like the Phlox and stubby conifers. Great Idea. I am going to copy the idea with sedum for my xeriscape area.

Scott, that prostrate pine is really nice. Where did it come from....

With all the forums offered on other specific plants, why none on conifers? I'm becoming fascinated by them, and the forums are such a great source of information.

I've asked if the word "conifers" could be added to the trees and shrubs forum, but that was shot down. It would be nice if conifers could have a forum all their own.

Scott, lovely setting for the pine surrounded by the phlox. And the close up of Berberis so nice and sharp. great photos

Phrago,

It came from a now defunct local nursery about 7 or 8 years ago. I have no idea where they got it from.
