Easter Lilly Seeds

I have several easter lillies going out of bloom. How brown do I need to let the seed pods at the base of the flowers get before opening them up to collect the seeds?

megan. Give them a gentle squeeze. if they ready the pod wil start to crack. But seed s are never predictable. They wil always open their pods when your not looking, so if you have a piece of nettign or stocking, put it around the pods to catch your seeds.
