Hi--longtime lurker here. I have what may be a silly question: I was thinking about planting moon vine to twine up the lamppost in my front yard (not a big wooden electric company one--just one of those yard ones). I was thinking it would look nice and kind of brighten up the yard at night. But if the light is on (autotriggered by lack of sunlight), will it keep the flowers from opening up because they'll think it's still daytime? Or is it more a time thing (as in, "we haven't opened in 12 hours, so let's get to it!")? Thanks for your help--
moon vine question
I would think that might depend on the strength of the light . . . It sounds like a nice idea, though - even if the flowers only open on the side of the pole the light is not on . . .
I belive its more of a time thing as mine dont close till after am
GardenMouse - So far night lights haven't stopped moonvines from flowering,so I'd say they'd probably be okay...
TTY,...
Ron
