Great pictures of a great flower! The macros show the propensity of plants with the star gene to produce petaloid structures from the stamens.

I believe that the term murasaki usually refers to a purple flower, which I think these flowers could probably be called....

Nice job, Ronnie! I agree with Frank (I think!), who stated in another thread something along the lines of..."this is going to be a great picture year on this forum!"

Hi Joanne,
