I have a large pot of baby tiger lilies that were a gift from a friend last year. I'm wondering if I can leave them in this large pot this year, or if they need to be transplanted into the landscape or larger pots to grow up some more. They were grown from bulbils on the mother plant.
I was also given some mature bulbs, so I will have some lilies to admire, for which I am very thankful, but it is neat to see these babies maturing. They were a mere one leaf late last year. I know it will be a few years before they bloom.

New baby lilies
Hi Laura;
I'd transplant them into large say 3" pots. I did so to my little lilies that hiked a ride home on my Mugo Pine's pot from the nursery. Leaving them pot bound, they may not grow well. Let's hear/see from other lilies growers' input.
I'd plant them out. I would think by year 2 you'd be seeing some blooms.
Thanks,
I think I'll split them into groups and put them in 3-5 groups in some larger pots for this year. If you are right, I should get flowers from some next year. I went out and looked today and I'm getting taller shoots this week with opposing leaves now.
