No card, no cake... but, you all made my day.

Hello Everyone,

I'm here to say... Gardeners are a hardy, sweet lot. And, we learn many life lessons through gardening. Like undying love for the land, patience, gentleness, and belief in tomorrow... no matter what the weather. Faith and Hope... even after a Flood or Drought. I have learned all of this from Gardening and the friendships made with Gardeners.

Well, my birthday was filled with surprises. The nicest part of my day was checking the message board after that little stinker... JSS... posted my birthday. Thank you to all of the nice people who posted a sweet wish for me. And, Thank You, too for the cake. I loved it.

The biggest surprise was being told to "MOVE OUT". I was told this house is "HIS" and he wants me out.Yes, on my 55th birthday. No card, no present, and no cake. I've always said God wraps "my gifts" in strange wrapping paper.

The little dream of this city girl gone country... had her bubble burst. Guess I served my purpose the last 10 years... working like a farm hand (the last 5 years) to plant a little orchard, haul about 6 tons of soil and woodchips, trade seeds and plants, and get the gardens to look so pretty.

I posted this to let you know that life is like gardening...
things happen while your busy making other plans. I am moving back to Wisconsin in October. In the meantime will busy myself with my friends in the garden... they love me.

Thank God this computer, printers, scanner and digital camera are "MY" stuff.

And... the plants, bulbs, and seeds... they will ALL be dug up by me and moved. They are "MINE". They will have to throw me in jail before I leave them here at "HIS" house.

Your the Best...

Oh Betty! I sensed we needed to boost you up yesterday! Many of us will be praying!!! And sometimes we goota go through the valley to get up to the mountain top! Because there is a valey around evey mountain! I, too, have been in those shoes- and it's never easy- but you'll be amazed about what you'll learn about yourself and discover how many friends you really DO have.
Wisconsin awaits you- it seems that has always been your home!! Don;t look back- move ahead!
Let us know- we'll be helping you pack and dig up in our hearts and prayers!

Betty you have my prayers, and God is leading you somewhere, or away from something that is boding you no good will. You can do this, and much easier
at 55, than at 65. Know that you are
strong, and that God, family, and friends
will always be there for you. Good luck
in all your endeavors. "eyes"

Betty, Welcome back to WI. If you are short on hardy plants, just e-mail me and I will make sure that you get some that will make it. Sorry that you have to go through this, but bring you suitcase and plants and come on home.

To all of you... Thanks so much. I got a cake for myself today... while running around town to get my "ducks in order". It is good to know so many understand. I am actually doing quite well.

Tonight I registered a domain name to start a Web site... one to carry over to Wisconsin...

Marcia... I am going to take you up on your offer... and I have some different seeds to share with you.

Will try to write each of you over the week-end. Your truely the best... NOW... back to garden talk.

Betty
