Nice pictures, Gardenpom! Really like the clean pink color of the Ipomoea purpurea flowers and the crisp focus. It will be a while before my first flowers. I got a bit of a late start this year....

Go girl. Pink is not my favorite color, but the extra effort in getting these pix really showes. Outstanding shots from behind the flower,...........anybody can get a mug shot. Other shots ar truely awesom sometimes too. Every seed packet has a mug shot, so these a much more uplifting and refreshing. Thanks for the extra effort. Frank

I do like pictures showing views from the gardener`s perspective. It is good to see the parts and leaves for IDs. They are potential Plant file material and pretty too. :)

Thanks all!

I've been cruising back through the threads trying to see exactly where the morning glory flowers grow off of the vines. It appears that gardenpom's first picture in this thread is showing the flowers formed at the base of the leaf petiole. I'm starting to see tiny new growth at the base of the leaf petiole on some of my MG's and since MG's appear to have opposite leaves, I'm assuming the new growth could be flower buds and not new leaves. Comments?

Gardenpom, loved your pics, too - they're right up there with O'Keeffe's flowers as landscapes
