What color are the eyes on the mutant minnow?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Snapple45,
I'm not sure, haven't netted him out for a closer look. But he's grayish black. Infact, we named him. Triple M. (Midnight Multant Minnow), BTW, thanks for the spelling correction.

Hey lily_love I get more wrong than right most of the time myself. Webster's aint us! Is it a mutant or a multant?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Tehehehehe, you've got that right. I presumed it's multated. lol. However, it's a peaceful little one. So we've decided it's a keeper.

We put Pondovac3 to the test yesterday. It was half a day of hard work, but the result is more than satisfactory. Luckily the fish survived the harsh treatment as well. Hubby while fishing out the accumulative waste in the bottom of the pond -- grabbed a hold of our biggest Koi, he jumped. Thinking he had a grip of a huge Leech or something. LOL

Here is a picture of Cracker. He is an albino Catfish.

Now I get to see the "King of Koi" - Cracker!!! Jim saw it last night too, I think we're going to get us one. (Going to be hard to find, I'm sure). Our biggest Koi is about the size of Cracker, we called him "Spot". One good leader, seems like the smallers fish have elected him Boss. :-)

I'm telling you we call him the King of Koi. He's not even my biggest fish. But he's kinda regal for a fish. LOL

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

That he IS.!!!!

Snapple45,
I've just noticed I turned green. lol

Central, LA(Zone 8b)

Maybe I should call him Pond Vac 4. LOL

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Jeri, he's worth a WHOLE lot more than that. LOL

When Cracker gets through sweeping the bottom of the pond there is nothing left. When he moves across the top of the pond there is a wake. My GF at the pet store actually had to talk me into buying him. Now I love him.

My son keeps wanting to put a catfish in my pond. Maybe it will be ok after all.

Central, LA(Zone 8b)

I must state again when Cracker was introduced to my pond he was a fingerling he has grown up with all the other fish and I don't see a problem with the other fish. The lady that sold me Cracker said that he would eat anything that fit in his mouth. So it looks like a lonely life for Cracker no GF because he would eat a small catfish and a big catfish might eat my other fish.

I just bought my pondvac 3 and saved over $100 because I read this forum. Thank you.

I tried it out for a short time when I received it and it really works. I decided to give the other stuff I bought to freecycle. It may work
for smaller ponds but certainly was a waste of money for my pond.

Today is the big day to use it and clean up the pond. It is about 2500 gallons so it should be a reasonably easy
job with this new toy.

Thank you all for helping me save money.
