Day 10 W/O Cigarettes

Lorain, OH(Zone 5b)

Well I've gone 10 days, the Patch really helps, and so did all your encouragement. But I still wake -up every morning wanting a 'coffin nail', it doesn't bother me the rest of the day. The withdrawl was horrible the first couple of days, but I was at a point where having a cigarette was triggering the worst heartburn anyway, I haven't had heartburn in 6 days. I feel great and my dog is loving all the walks.

The hard part is over with. Good girl.

That's so true. I had a friend that put a small copy of the New Testament in her cigarette pouch. Every time she had the urge she would find herself reading her daily devotional. Keep the faith, and
our prayers are for you, and our bets
are on you too.

Michele, congratulations for reaching that milestone. I don't really know what ya'll are going through, but I have deep admiration for what you are doing, and I'm rooting for all of you who are quitting! Thanks for sharing your success!

Good for you, Michele! I did this 10 years ago, and it was one of the hardest things I ever did. I feel your pain! lol! You can do it! Breathing is going to be so much easier, and you'll be able to exercise. And you'll live longer. Which means you'll have more time to garden!

Keep counting the days, soon it will be to many to turn back. Great job.

Good for you Marigold and good for me too. What a cool coinsidence that we quit at the same time. I have never even tried to quit smoking before, but I feel that I can do it. I will state this: It is much harder physically to quit cigarettes than to quit drinking, I quit drinking 3 years ago as of this August 18th.

Great going you two. Your on the easier side of the hill now. Each day gets alittle easier to think, act, feel, BE a non smoker. And if you have an urge just think "Do I really want to go thru those first few days again???" I bet you will answer NO!!!! Keep up the good work and remember we are always here if you need us.
