Help ID some shrubs please?

Marlton, NJ

Hi Everyone, Went to my sisters down the shore for Easter yesterday. She bought her home about a year ago, a landscaper used to own it. I just have 4 shrubs or trees she would like to know the names of. I told her I knew where to get the info. Thanks for your help and could you please include the common names as well; Thank you.

#1 - Photinia 'Red Robin' or a similar cultivar.

# 4 This one had thorns all over it.

Thanks for your help. Sorry the pics aren't better but it was freezing outside and very windy.

I was about to say #1 Photinia, but Resin beat me to it! #3 is a hydrangea.

#4 - Rosa rugosa (Rugosa Rose)

Your first pic looks like Photinia x fraseri, which I fear has been renamed.
This is the infamous and ubiquitous redtip of more southern climes.

#2 is the seedhead of Lagerstroemia, crape myrtle.

#3 looks like one of the big hydrangeas; possibly Hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva'.

#4 is not posted as I type.

Scott County, KY(Zone 5b)

Talk about no fair!

I agree with Rosa rugosa on #4.

Hi VV,

'Red Robin' is a cultivar of Photinia x fraseri, so no name change, just that with citing cultivars, the hybrid name is optional (particularly when typing fast to get in first :-)

LOL, Thanks Everyone! I wish the weather would have been more tolerable because her large property was so full of interesting shrubs and trees. I'll be going back down again when its warmer so I'll be back here with lots more pics and questions.
