Easter Bunny or Wierd Guard Dog?

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

This wierd creature is running around my house.

Poor Walker the Wonder Dog doesn't know which way to go. Is he the local Easter Bunny guarding eggs or is this a disguise so he can sneak up on the wascally wabbits eating my lilies?

Too cute, Wanda! Good luck with the rabbits!

Wanda, if the creature is living at your house then I'd have to lean toward 'weird'.

LOL! He looks thrilled, hahaha.

Walker HATES it when you put anything on his head--he keeps remembering the plastic hood we had to put on him last year when he had an injured ear.

Oh, Wanda you must be speaking of the infamous "conehead" device.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Yes. Poor dog injured his ear hunting --cut a vein. Cauterization did not work (He shook the ears & broke them open), or wrapping it (he ripped the wrapping off) or anything else the vet tried. We finally put him in a hood and got the ear to heal. I'm still finding specks of blood on walls from him shaking his ear!

He's affectionate & smart, but more than a little crazy....

he makes a cute wabbit .

Walker has a rough life for a hunting dog. No kennel, big yard and forced to sleep inside on furniture each day. I think I will come back as a dog....

me too ! or a cat ?
we spoil our critters same as we do our kids , but they are worth the pleasure they give .

Sometimes I wonder... This one was pretty destructive for the first 3 years:
Chewed a hole in the wall--right down to gnawing on the 2x4
Tore the wood trimm off a window & chewed it up
Tore a hole in a couch pillow and scattered the stuffing all over the living room
Chewed a hole thru the front of the couch & chewed on the wood
Charged thru a screen door after a kid on a bike and ruined the screen
Got bored one day & chewed up 18 DVDs--cases & discs
Grabbed my iris photo album and scattered 300+ photos across the yard + chewed up
Snuck upstairs to steal numerous stuffed animals & destroyed them'
Peed on the guest bed upstairs
Peed on drapes upstairs---- Need I go on?

He's 4 years old now & finally getting calmed down

Sounds like a normal dog. Looks cute but miserable with rabbit ears. LOL. Is that his disguise for stalking rabbits.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

LOL. Walker refused to move once I put the bunny ears on his head. He spooks easily. Wierd dog. He and my daughter's garden did a good job of chasing rabbits while I was gone last week--my lilies are unmolested!

Dogs don't like clothes, especially bunny ears. I am with Walker. If a dog catches rabbits, he shouldn't have to wear bunny ears.

Poor Walker! He's a valued hunting machine out in the field, but a joke in his own home.

I can tell by his aah- er Smile?? that he likes the ears. As a matter of fact if he could find them while not wearing them. they would be history.

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

Yup--he would have them torn to bits.
