Seedling option

I have been growing my spring seedlings indoors in these water containers. They are easily cut off when it's time to transplant outdoors, and I get to see the root system developing. They were going in the trash anyway.

Well that sure is a neat idea! Thanks ByndeweedBeth!

I like those pint sized milk bottles. Cut the top off and they fit nicely inside a sandwich sized ziploc baggie that provides humidity for germinating seeds (more necessary for my salvias than the Ipomoea). Clean yogurt cups work well too.

Those are handy because you can cut them out and plant without disturbing the roots.
