When I saw the picture I knew I'd order it right away. Such a nice change from all the pinks, cherries and whites!
Pirl, the Fedx man just dropped them off!!! Nice sized bulbs too, can't wait to plant them. But we got more than a foot of snow yesterday, so it will be a while.
My experience with Dutch Gardens has not been that great :*(. The Garden Watchdog feedback though not terrible, is not great either.

I did see Salmon Star available at Faraway Flowers, I think, with the spring offerings. And it seems like folks around here have grown this one and are fond of its performance. Hopefully they will come out of the woodwork to boast its beauty and make you even more excited about growing it! You'll have to fill us in on how they do this summer. I hope they do well for you.
I got irritated with Dutch Gardens because of over manipulating pictures. When you buy and place a lily described and shown as fire engine red, the dusty, reddish mauve may not work where you placed it ,LOL. I just googled several other sources offering Salmon Star and they all look as wonderful as that pic. I've got to have it too! While I have had my issues with Dutch Gardens, and hardly ever order from them any more, they were always very good about making good on any mess ups. The no shipping deal makes that an excellent price!

I pick up a package of salmon star from my local nursery this February. The picture on the package looks the same.
I don't expect miracles the first year but by next year they should be picture perfect. I love their customer service - very helpful, very accommodating.
Received an email from Dutch Gardens which offers $25 off on a order of $50 or more. Expires May 1st. I'm not ordering from them. I'm new here. Is posting the code within the rules? I've seen the codes before on DG for other places so I'd guess it's fine. For Dutch Gardens the more orders the better, I'd think.

Yes, that was the first year of bloom for me. Orientals don't come back well for me here in Maine due to the short growing season.
