This seedling couldn't wait to get transplanted to the garden, so it welcomed my day with a bloom. I don't think it was open all the way yet, but I had to go to work so I just photographed it early.

Nice(!) photo ...it's interesting that the left side of the flower has visible brownish streaks that aren't present on the right side...
I think the left side was shaded from the sun by something, it's probably a shadow.

LOL, don't temp me to take the day off...I almost did. Day is sunny and in the 70's, and here I am under flourescents. Life isn't fair!
