How much of a freeze will lilies take

Fenton, MO(Zone 6b)

Were going to have a hard freeze in the next couple of days (24 or 25 degrees) will covering them help or are they lost for the year.

Columbia Heights, MN(Zone 4a)

Yes, if you have any mulch, mound it up and over the lilies. If you have pots or something you can put over that, it will help. We're expecting about 4 days of below freezing weather and I'm not sure if they will survive for that long. Cross your fingers and pray

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Some of mine got nipped in the high 20s. Last night the forecast was for a low of 26 and I spent a couple hours getting mulch over my more important ones as it was impossible to take care of all of them. Well it only got down to about 30. These meteorologists need to get off there fancy shmancy computer predictor programs and go look out the window; they would have seen the protective clouds coming in....

I also think the extent of damage varies among the cultivars. Many of mine faired well but, for example, Georgette is not at all happy looking now:(

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Even if it gets nipped, your bulb will be ok, just no blooms this year, or you may get misshapen, ugly blooms. Very disappointing when you are waiting all winter to see those gorgeous lilies!
