Just got these this weekend... looky here

Got these at Dollar Tree, 48 shot glasses.. they come in sets of 4 and got two baskets also there at Dollar Tree..

24 shot glasses fit in a basket (cost 7.00 for basket and 6 sets of shot glasses)

For years I've used small whiskey shot glasses that my step-dad gave me (had about 100 of them) for soaking my MG seeds and other seeds as well. Well, they took up the whole counter and my DH was not too happy most of the winter...lol

They take up hardly no room, they will not spill and are easy to carry.. also, long enough to hold the label while the seed soaks. Just use a small strainer to get the seed out, so it won't go into the sink..

I love them..

these are good for all kinds of seed soaking... I'll be using one basket tonight...

here is one more photo so you can see just how small these are... the glasses (plastic) are about 4 inches tall, if that.

Gotta love the dollar tree .. where else can you go and have such a good time on 7 dollars?

Oh yes, I was so happy, you would think I won the lottery. lol. I was getting strange looks though, my daughter said, when did you take up drinking? But, you should have seen the look on her face when I said, "they are not for me... they are for my morning glories"..lol, she say's "I didn't know they drank"..lol she's one character..

Okay, today I am using one basket.. I love the space saving this makes for me.

Can you just imagine them all singing??

Test tubes can probably be used too, or those blood vials.. if you are soaking only one seed.. There are no limits to how far we can take this.

Someday I might tell you about my dayspa treatment for stressed out rose bushes. When I do soak seeds, like canna seeds, i use custard cups and sit them on my computer overnight since the computer stays on 24/7 (i loan it out to BOINC projects to crunch numbers and such when I'm not using it). The projects, the Rosetta Project which finds 3 dimensional shapes for proteins and the Einstein Project which is searching for pulsars, keeps my processor so busy the computer stays pretty warm thus keeps the water in the custard cup luke warm.

Geez guys , I am starting to crave a spa day soaking in a nice hot bath, but wait a minute, I am noooooo morning glory seed, and I would never fit into a custard cup. But a nice warm soak for a few days sounds like heaven to me.
