Anyone know what kind of aphids these are?

I don't, but they sure do look like the new invasive aphids called Soybean Aphids, Aphis glycines.
What kind of plant were they on?

Shhhhhhh don't tell Ron but they were on one of his mg's. I hit them with some pyola after taking the picture.

Aphids tend to be very plant specific. Cotton / melon aphids are supposed to prefer Morning Glories (and cotton and melons), and they do look like the aphids in your picture. Try an image search for Aphis gossypii, I bet that's them.

Does look like them. I'll confirm it with my bug guy at Clemson. Thanks!!
