Paul - it looks like you have the bamboo or narrow leaf type...looks like a nice photo for the PlantFiles...but be forewarned that there are alot of people who are strongly against cultivating this plant as can be read in the comment section

I've eaten it already...my local Chinese friends bought it in Chinatown >New York and cooked it up for me...it had a relatively mild taste...sort of like a mild spinach...
