Anyone know what these are...they are really really small...I have about 150 of the darn little things on my Japanese Maple...yes...that many..and I was afraid they may be bad for it...please help if you can!

I wouldn't panic. They're flies of some kind. I don't know why they would be on your Japanese Maple...just guessing here, but maybe it was just a convenient place or there's a food source for them on the tree, like aphids.
