Azaleas blooming

Atmore, AL(Zone 8b)

My azaleas have finally reached their peak. These are the "Pride of Mobile" cultivar, the most popular in my area. They are about 7-8ft tall.

I got a shot of this bumblebee just before it chased me around the house LOL. They are very defensive of these shrubs.

E-guy, How do you keep the deer off them?

Gorgeous display there. Is it just a lighting thing or do I see lace bug leaf damage?

Snapple, that's certainly possible. It doesn't seem to slow them down any though.

As far as deer, they don't seem to mess with the bigger azaleas. However I do have some young ones planted at the edge of the woods in the back that have been nibbled.

Those are about the most beautiful bushes I've ever seen in my life. No wonder you are so proud of them!! Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.
