Can anyone identify this beautiful critter. It was very obliging and sat for several photos. I took them in September in Austin, TX.

Possibly a Snowberry Clearwing Moth, Hemaris diffinis.

I looked up Hemaris diffinis on the Web and found a lot of photos that looked like this guy. I believe your suggestions is correct. Thanks.
