The milky sap can be seen dripping out of the end of the hair somewhat below the caterpillar...

Ron, when you said caterpillar, i said what caterpillar? I looked again and found it on the last picture and the milky sap. I looked at other pictures from the same series of macros of the Mini-Bar Rose and didn't see any damage. I guess it left without dining.

The varigated leaf is the one that blows me away ... The camera is incredible. I had to whomp the size of that one down because at 20 megs it was just plain too big.
