Southern fruit tree nusery (also posted on Georgia forum)

Northeast Harbor, ME

I'm looking for recommendations for mail order nurseries that specialize in fruit trees for southern, humid climates, any recommendations? We run a quarantine station for the exportation of plants into Bermuda and they'd like some swell fruit trees over there.

Since Bermuda has a strict limitation on plants from Florida, I can't use any nurseries from there.

Definitely NOT The Nursery at Ty Ty, or any of its aliases. Avoid them like the plague.

I don't know whether Edible Landscaping in Virginia has the sort of plants in the sort of volume you might want, but at least they are reputable.

Here is a list of member nurseries of California Rare Fruit Growers: http://www.crfg.org/nurlist.html
See if there's anything on the list that works. Trade Winds Fruit Nursery: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/c/2194/ seems to have many tropical fruit trees - I wonder if they also sell whips/grafts, etc. Just a thought.

I have had good luck with Ison's. I bought muscadine vines, but they have fruit trees too. www.isons.com

Check out Johnson Nursery: http://www.johnsonnursery.com
They have apples and peaches with low chill requirements, some that are rated to zone 9. They are in Georgia and have good ratings on the plant scout. I am about to order some plums from them. The prices are very reasonable!
