i have had the pink one before and in one season mine got to be about 4 ft tall. right now i am waiting to see if it survived the winter. we had a bad winter here this year.

i dont think the white version would be any different but it is so pretty. okay like my daughter says we moving to Japan. my daughter is a big Fan of Japanese Art and Culture. She wants to visit one day. Me i want to see all the beautiful maples and cherry trees in bloom. A beautiful place.

Hi Marie,

Wow, 4 ft tall is not bad at all. OK thanks for the info and I hope you and your daughter gets to visit Japan.

Cherry blossom season will start in a few days and there will be cherry blossom festivals all over Japan during the season. I too am a fan of the culture and has live here since 1986. Sakura (cherry blossom) is the national flower of Japan and cherry blossom viewing is called Hanami. It`s a special time to be in Japan.

Does the color come true from seed? Frank

Houston, TX

Frank, yes it's a natural color from the seed and there are two other different color flowers of this type.

Where do I get seeds for the white variety? Frank

Jackson, SC(Zone 8a)

i havent seen any white ones offered here. i would be snatching them up if they did. the pink ones are easier to find.

Houston, TX

Seeds for the white version are being auctioned here in Japan by one seller and they are only offering 3 seeds. Still there are a few more days until the auction ends and I`ll bid on them. But it will be a while before I can offer any for trade.

i dont doubt they are in high demand.

MGJ,
I grew the White Form last year and my plants grew to about 8'.
This is the first year I have grown the White.
I will be growing the Purple Form this year as well.

The Pink Form I've been growing for several years.

I would be interested in trading the White Form seeds with you if you get any to see how differently they will vary.
I STILL haven't gotten all of your seeds together yet and hope to get back on that this week.
I have LOTS of the Pink Form seeds if you would like for me to add these.

I have the purple seeds! Also have 2 purple Plants which I bought from a vendor here . They are so very easy to make cuttings from......I need the white... I had a few white seeds got excited about them and planted them to early this winter and lost them... I think Morning Glory bushes are SO very pretty!
