many hugs blessings to all of you! i hope your easter is as funfilled as mine will be tomarrow with my 6 kid's. :-) the worst part with dye is over,lol. they did pretty good not one mess. we made tyedied and pearl looking swirled eggs and had a blast. tomarrow my step son will be here so i'll be blessed with 6 of them 11 and under so i'll be a busy mom.

Easter Seed Swap...The Rest of the Story!
Good Monday morning~~to ALL of you! And, a HAPPY (late) EASTER! :) I am pleased to tell all of you that frausnows BE got here Friday afternoon, and I was able to quickly put her goodies in, seal, and deliver to the PO before they closed. Whew. I hope you all get your BE's soon! Thanks to ALL of you who sent extra money or postage to help out others. The BE's ended up weighing more than I anticipated (show how many of you were super generous!), so I tacked on a little xtra postage where needed and delivery to your house will hopefully be this week. Also, thank you to Connie- for the sweet gift and card, Karen - for the great dmails and ALL those cool seeds; Susan - for the kind words and precious butterfly frame; and all the rest of you who I have gotten to know so well over such a short period of time. I feel like I've made many new, great friends for a lifetime. :-)
I thought of many of you Northerners this weekend as we set a record of the CENTURY here with a shocking 5" of snowfall on Saturday. YES, snowfall! Unbelievable, to say the least. I worked feverishly trying to get all my plants moved back into the greenhouse, and all my others in the garden covered up before it hit. All this on Easter weekend, with a house full of company. Certainly a first for my lifetime!

I hope you got to enjoy some time with your company. I know some of my seedlings I WSed aren't going to make it. We are suppose to be hit with more snow and rain this week. I will just be glad when warm weather is here to stay for a while. The weatherman said it was going to be like christmas all over again, cold and snowy then snow mixed with rain, What a mess.

I hope all had a great Easter, I did :o) Still not feeling up to par but am getting better. Still have one more week of antibiotics :( but hopefully they will kick this in the butt and go away... and I will be well when the weather breaks and turns warm so I can Garden Garden Garden lol.

Good luck Connie, get well soon. 5" WOW that goes along with our record low of 17 for Easter. I covered everything I could but I don't think it helped. The horses got loose and knocked over my wire cage that was stuffed full of leaves to protect my mini rose. drat them, it frooze. Lost all kinds of spring bulbs, not sure about my Jasmine or the crepe myrtles. I'm almost afraid to look at everything. 3 days of that freezing weather was awful, especially after a month of 60 and 70's. Well as it is said by my Iraquois ggranny the dogwood winter is now over, we just have to get through the blackberry winter and then it is summer.

Yes, indeed I did spend time with my Easter company, in between moving plants and covering gardens...............but being such good family and friends, they understand me and certainly understand my love for plants. Robyn, sounds like you too had terribly cold weather and I think your ggranny said it best! You know if we all had the smarts that our ggparents did, we would have it made, wouldn't we? We are all in shell-shock around here with the flooding first, then this crazy snow in April in Texas! gggeeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!

I got my envelope today and it looks fantastic. I haven't gone through it all yet but we picked up the mail as we were coming back from our walk and I opened it in the middle of the road and pulled out the bunny ears headband and wore it the rest of the way home to the great amusement of my DH.
What fun!!!!

What a TREAT to open my DG page and find that a few of you already have your BE's! I am so happy - - - - hmmm, hhhm,,hhmmm,,hhnnnmmmm, hmmmmm (me doing my happy dance, lol)! OOOWWWEEEE!!! WOW ladies, I got my BE and am having a fantastic time. You all are so creative. Ican't hardly talk let alone write. This is grand, Belinda thanks for being such a great hostess and a big thanks to everyone in this swap. Going to go play now. (I have GH envy). My garage will have to do for the time being. Costing a fortune to heat it though. Oh well anything for all my babies.

Well, my goodness gracious ~ ~ ~ my hat is off to the USPS. I must admit that those BE's arrived MUCH faster than I ever, ever, ever anticipated. I'll give my mailman a pat on the back today when he arrives today. Maybe I'll even be kind and make him a loaf of homemade Amish bread. That is one of his favs he claims. :)
I'm thrilled that all of you are so pleased. I genuinely had a blast hosting this swap and will gladly host again, soon! I have got to work on moving ALL my plants back out of the greenhouse (again), which takes an entire day in itself. Ugh. Thankfully, it is suppose to be 71*F today and 83*F tomorrow. Quite a change from that ridiculous 28*F on Saturday with SNOW! Bbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrr - - - - maybe Spring is here to STAY this time around! Have a great Tuesday!

WELLL HELLOOOOOOOOO everyone. How are we all today. Ok I am basicly lazy and didnt read all the thread that I have missed. So here it goes. Good health to everyone with wonderful recovery to those of us who need it. WTG to all of us who are actually accomplishing things now a days with the exception of me. My bestest friend in the hole wide world of DGer (you know who you are....LOL) only teased me not ONCE but TWICE with an envelope of wonderful weather, so no I am waiting it out again and beginning to get quite impatient. I am ready to go go go go outdoors. I am tired of the hybernation. Opppsie sorry had to leave ya all for a sec. The poochies I swear they are worse than children fighting over thier dad gum bones. And ofcouse momma thinks she should have all 4 of them. What a "B" she can be sometimes. Anyway all my beautiful Tulips, Hyacinths, Daffodils, Corcus, Bleeding Hearts, Columbines and ect ect ect all come up so beautiful then ofcourse we had to have 4-5 nasty freezing nights that made them all ugly again. Darn it. My grass has gotten out of hand, my mower lost a started and it has been to cold to put it back on and mow. I almost loss them darling little pooopers in the grass.....LOL
Well Hope everyone had as WONDERFUL of an easter as I did. Looking forward to the family coming over for Mother Day again this year it was so much fun last year.
Well guess I better get off of here and feed myself. Some of the things we have to do its terrible. Hate to buy it, put it up, fix it, take the time out to eat it, and then ofcourse CLEAN it up.....eeeeks this should be something that just happens so we have more time in the great outdoors.

My Easter Swap BE arrived today, too, and what can I say -- Goodness, gracious! Wowzers! Thanks ever so much everyone, and especially Belinda for pulling it all together! Y'all are so imaginative, and the seeds sure will come in very handy in our new gardens.

i got mine today too!!!! i'm so excited, didn't have time to tell ya all earlier, sorry. i was shocked when i opened it. you all are very creative and artistic!! i had no idea what to decorate with since the easter stuff here was just comeing in and hard to find things so the kid's helped me do mine,lol.
i loved it all so many wonderful seeds and gorgous decorations they were all adorable! the kid's stole my cute erasers for school already they loved them. thank you all for a wonderful swap i had loads of fun and gf let me know when ya have more i'll be there! you did an awesome job thank you so much for hosting!!

Did I tell ya that we put our house up for sale two weekends ago and sold it last weekend?! I think I mentioned it in another post. Anyway, I've been soooo busy packing, taking clippings, digging up bulbs and plants (some of each, not all) and looking for a new house. DH has been making minor repairs and touchups as well as helping to pack. We have found a house and are making an offer at 11 am this morning. Say a prayer for us!
I won't be participating in any swaps for a while 'till we get the house fixed up and are settled, but I'll be hovering in the background envying you guys while you continue to trade.

As for another swap - - - I am gearing up for another one right now. Still tossing around which idea I am going to chose. I've narrowed it down to three..............just need to decide and post, asap! Check back on the seed trading thread around the first part of next week and by then I should be ready to roll, again! :-)

I'm ready Belinda, sign me up now. I need another boost. I just picked me up a mini GH for $15.00, it's a nice sized one. yes, I already have it filled. By the time the next swap takes place these will be ready to go into something bigger and I can start new seeds. I'm still hoping for a big GH, maybe this is the year I get it. (even if I have to go back to work to get the money to buy it myself) haha

Connie, my lungwort seed wasn't any good ~ it was sort of moldy-fungi ridden, so I had to toss the entire package. I'm so sorry about that Connie, I meant to drop you a note in your BE, and I was so rushed that day - - - - I apologize. This fall I will save you some, K? :)
