Can anyone tell me if the foliage on the calla lily stays green throughout the summer or does it die back when it is done blooming? I cannot find any info about that on my searches and hope that someone can help me. Thanks

Have grown callas for a few years and the foliage stays green until hard frost here. Is green throughout the summer months.
on my green goddess, the leaves die back, in fact the whole plant disappears. On some others, the leaves stay on nice and green. don't know if it has to do w/ cultivar, or planting location.
Thank you both for your input. I think I will grow them in pots this first year and see what happens. I hate to put them somewhere I need summer foliage and then have them die back. These are just a few bags of different color ones I got from Wal Mart so I am sure they are very common.
