John, Gordon Hawk is a respected member here at DG and he was kind enough to share the bounty of seeds he found in Panama. Voss calls them Gordon's Wild Panamanians.

I think the picture of the flowers is about mid way down in this post.

I'll dmail you the next time I am in Colatown.

That's so nice of you, Alice. Most of my seedlings from GordonHawk have Black Tip so it is susceptible to cold, damp conditions just like the other species, Plumeria obtusa 'Singapore White.' The Black Tip was just broken off, and new branches will sprout now.

Those are beautiful. I can't even imagine growing those guys from seedlings. I'll have to read over that whole thread in detail tomorrow.

gosh mine should not hear all of you talking. mine are so neglected . i have mine in pots and they get water when needed. they dont ever go in the ground just bigger pots. they lose all their leaves during winter even in the heated greenhouse.

due to warm weather their leaves are coming back out. so i had to turn the heat back on. i try to water very rarely in the winter but am sure they get wet. during the summer they are outside.

i grew mine from seeds. one bloomed last year. i set mine out as soon as i know winter is gone. leaves or not. they havent been out the greenhouse yet.
