looks like a wax worm

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

It's about 1.5" long. Grubs and wax worms don't have that pointy thing at the end. It's black (looks like a little stinger - but it's not - I don't think) and it goes in and out. Makes me want to puke! I wonder how many more are in my soil??

Buford, GA(Zone 7b)

Looks alot like the Grub/Bug I'm trying to get an ID for, look a couple of topics down at the 2 pictures. My pics show the mouth/front end, see if it is similar. It was about 2 1/2 inches long. The next day I found another one, both were around the bottom of an big Oak tree about 4" to 5" deep. I'm north of Atlanta in Zone 7.
