A few blooms

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

Here are a couple of new blooms for me, inside still...

From a mix, none of them opened all the way to a full round flower.

Very pretty I can't wait until I start mine this year, it'll be time pretty soon :) They are all pretty but I think like the 'Pretty in Lavender' best.

My F-2's are like that .. don't fully open and are very very puny. What a disappointment! I'm planning to plant more seeds.

It has got to be nice just to have the flowers around! It looks like your Speckles has opened quite nicely! - Arlan

Flowers this time of year are great. We have 5'' of snow in the yard!!

Lovely blooms.

How many weeks prior to your last frost date (or plant out date) do your start your morning glories?

(Ronnie), PA(Zone 6b)

I'm growing some inside now. The ones that will go outside I start about mid April so they don't get to big. I direct sow a lot of them too at the end of May into June.

I was going to ask if I can plant this out in the garden....it's been growing inside for a long time now. Maybe 3 months?

Pretty flower!!

Yes you can plant it out side. It's been said that MGs don't like to be transplanted but I have never had a problem.

I would wait at least another month though since the like it warm

Indianapolis, IN(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Ronnie! I'll wait for sure. We are due to have several more frosts as it is. Sad, too, because so many frost-tender things have emerged from the ground.

I am always surprised by Morning Glories -- the foliage is so hairy and crispy-dry feeling. Are they all like that or just the kind I have?

LOL never thought about that!!Most of mine are... don't know if they all are though....
