Is it the right time of year to replant my lilies? I would like to share some with my daughter.
starglazers
Yes, Star Gazers (or any lily) can be moved now or in the Fall. By replanting, do you mean dividing the ones you have in the ground, or some that you have potted?
The ones that i have in the ground
They should transplant just fine. If they can't be planted right away, be sure to keep them cool with some barely damp peat or vermiculite in a baggie.
Generally, you should divide in the fall after a hard frost. If you're going to do this now, be very careful about stems that might be growing. If you break one off, it will not set a new stem for this year.
