That looks really nice and healthy.

Paul, I have a question for you since you also grow tomatoes. This may be a bad idea, but I was wondering if the MG plants would benefit from burying them up to their necks when transplanting them (like the tomato plants), would they also form more roots along the stem, and get a stronger root system, or would this kill the mg plant?

Have you tried it? I was thinking about trying this at least with one to see what happens.

I don't think Convolvulaceae is as desperate for roots as Solanaceae seems to be. The stem stucture is different.
