two Diff Coulrs on the same plant
American Hybrid
Very pretty.
I've never had that happen, although I know these types readily interbreed. Is the dark purple dominant?
id say yes it is or should be but ive had 4 flowers so far 2 of each ill find out as time goes by
Paul - isn't this the same plant that you posted here
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/701250/
maybe the blooms of the purple one are still fading to the lighter pink...unless you are absolutely certain that there are not 2 stems coming out of the ground...
The darker purple often have a darker pigmented on any older stems, while true pinks will most often show only a blush of a rosey pigmentation on the stems or none at all...
Hope this helps to clear up any mysteries...
TTY,...
Ron
no i thought that it had changed color but the next day i had one of each ill take a good look at it in the morning
Ron i checked there are two vines comeing up so it must be two diff vines to diff flowers
