I've never had that happen, although I know these types readily interbreed. Is the dark purple dominant?

id say yes it is or should be but ive had 4 flowers so far 2 of each ill find out as time goes by

maybe the blooms of the purple one are still fading to the lighter pink...unless you are absolutely certain that there are not 2 stems coming out of the ground...

The darker purple often have a darker pigmented on any older stems,while true pinks will most often show only a blush of a rosey pigmentation on the stems or none at all...

Hope this helps to clear up any mysteries...

no i thought that it had changed color but the next day i had one of each ill take a good look at it in the morning

Ron i checked there are two vines comeing up so it must be two diff vines to diff flowers
