Peach tree blooms

These next two pics are of the same peach tree. It blooms between mid Feb and mid Mar each year, predominantly in this deep pink....as it is doing now.

But then it always throws out this one little branch with these very pale pink blossoms. The previous owners of our house, said this was just a "peach tree", not any particular kind, such as a peppermint peach for example. Just thought it was kind of strange. Maybe this is normal?
Oddly enough, I did plant a peppermint peach, which so far, has only had all-pink blossoms. :)

I'd guess it is two different cultivars grafted onto the same rootstock. Possibly the second was added to be a pollenizer for the main part of the plant, though it they flower at different times, this wouldn't work well. Also with it being double-flowered, I wouldn't expect it to produce much fruit anyway. Do you get many (or any!) peaches off it in the summer?

It does produce peaches. I don't know if it produces alot, since it's my first experience with this type of tree. Maybe a total of 20-25 peaches? They rarely make it to ripe, because the squirrels eat them! I had not noticed that the pale pink was double! The dark pinks are not (photo). And the blossoms do occur at the same time. Also, someone at some point, hacked this poor tree terribly, so I don't know what it would look like in it's natural state.

There are some old abandoned homesites around here that have peach trees still surviving after many decades. Even though they're all over grown, those peach blossoms still stand out.
