Here is what is coming up from "bindweed" roots sent to me from Italy. The leaf shape is a little different than what I am used to here. I am eager to see the flower this summer.

Oh isn't it the best when you get to see the cotyledons and then the first new leaves? Can hardly wait to see a bloom. Congrats..
I think the bindweeds are lovely. Also eager to see the blooms.

Looks like Convolvulus arvensis so far...
It is supposed to be C. arvensis, but the bindweed I have doesn't have such "arrow" shaped leaves. Maybe I have just never noticed the tiny leaves before. I am still hoping to find the pink tinged bindweed since mine are stark white.
Beth, are you talking about the common pink bindweed? If so, we have both the white and the pink growing wild here in my area. If that's what you want, I will gladly dig you some if I can find them.
