This is the seedling that just came up. I don't know if this one is ssp. mauritanicus. The seed pouch did not specify. I won't know till it blooms.
Convolvulus sabatius
Beth, that looks great..
I can't find the post where you mentioned logees.. but take a look at Kartuz in CA and give him a call, sometimes he has what you are looking for. I got some nice Ipomoeas one year from him, but I believe I left them there.

Thanks A.
I ordered what I wanted from Logees, but they wait to mail it until the weather is safe. It is a lot colder there than here.

Beth - nice photos...please add the cotyledon photo to the PlantFiles...
I'm seeing that Convolvulus sabatius is entered as a synonym of Convolvulus mauritanicus...
I'll have to doublecheck on current accepted taxonomy...
Nice contributions...

Joy Creek gardens told me the old taxomony was C. mauritanicus and the new is C. sabatius ssp. mauritanicus.
I haven't verified if this is true.
Beth
Yes,that is what I read as the new taxonomy also >several years ago,but a quick search is showing Convolvulus mauritanicus listed with Convolvulus sabatius as the synonym...
The database here has Convolvulus mauritanicus as the current name and Convolvulus sabatius as the synonym...
The USDA is usually right on taxonomy >but not always(!)...and even IPNI has been slipping lately .so that's why I'm going to check further...
I'd place it in the current entry pending further verification...
TTY,...
