Paul - I had mentioned this in an effort to alert people to what IS happening,but I don't know that the MG forum is the arena to discuss this indepth...but I suppose we could discuss what we want to > to some extent in the forum that we usually frequent...

Ive been hybridize Vegies and Cannas for 30 years i just never bothred to have any patent but ill look in to it thanks paul

The real scary part is that pollen from gm crops can carry up to 10 miles. The courts have already decided that if your field has been errantly pollinated by some of monsanto's pollen, they can claim a fee for your harvest.

Historically the Law has been that if something that you own and are responsible for infringes on anothers property >you are responsible for the damages...e.g., if your dog enters onto another's property and damages something >you are the gulity party who is responsible for any damages...the rationale being that you are responsible for controlling your dog from infringing upon another...

The concept of patent infringement has been twisted beyond sanity...since if anyone has anything(!)>even if it is a patented organism and that patented organism infringes upon another>the owner of the infringing organism should be the guilty party >not the person or thing infringed upon...if The Large Agricultural Conglomerates(LAC) cannot prevent the wind from spreading their genetically altered organisms >that happen to be patented from blowing upon eveyones else's property >then the LAC should simply not be allowed to infect and should be liable for any and all damages to all of the crops and people that they infringe upon...

The more basic premise and concept of not infringing upon another should take precedence over any patent infringement ...but this concept that patent rights take precedence over the much more basic and substantial non-infringement premises has been subverted by people who are literally on the payroll of the LAC's...

The Federal courts have done a complete 180 degree turnaround relative to the concept of illegal infringement for what is in fact contamination(!) by the LAC's from their genetically altered pollen >which destroys yours and the entire world's historical heirlooms...

LAC's should be responsible to prevent their product from infringing upon another,not the other way around...

LAC's are allowed to have their pollen spread and infect/destroy heirlooms and the victim(!) is declared to be the guilty party..

LAC's have been systematically acquiring material from heirloom plants >has full and absolute access to all of the worlds major seedbanks >including ornamentals to develop pollen which will introduce their patented genes into everyting...the end result is that they will legally own everything and you will be guilty of infringing upon their patents for anything that you grow...

Does this sound just 'too far out' to be true(?!)...guess what...it IS happening...and sheeple are oblivious and apathetic...

The documentary(!) I mentioned includes documentation on the fact that the members of the legislature and the judges who made these types of decisions were employed by LAC's before their official terms in office...while executing their official duties and/or went on to become members of the board at LAC's after they left office...just like the person in the FDA who wrote the text of the ban on mentioning GMO's on the labels of food >was subsequently found to be a gigantic shareholder in an extremely large corporation that was marketing GMO's...his decisions were eventually overturned after enough people protested vehemently...

Do you think that the outrageous decisions by the judges and legislators involved could reasonably(!) have been made any other way but via their own pecuniary interests...

Total political corruption and conflict of interest....this is about as fascist as it gets...

This is NOT(!) FUNNY...and burying your head in the sand won't help either...

I believe that if more people became acquainted with the facts of what is happening,that this type of genocide could be and should be stopped...

I don't mean to throw a wet blanket on the discussion, I just don't want any of my valuable friends banned from DG. That seems to be happening on other forums so I am going to be really cautious about what I discuss.

When did they start editing posts and banning people? is DG turning into GW, I certainly hope not. Just when I thought I found a little piece of heaven here. I only had one dmail that i thought was out of line... the earlier one was fair play... the last one was a little harsh, i was supposedly being course. Funny cause i heard nearly the same phrase used on bbc radio 4 tonight on the way home. If you know uk radio, its not exactly dirty! lol

But i think the phrase didn't travel so well.

DG didn't say this topic was inappropriate, I just wanted to err on the side of caution. I have read that some companies that had negative feedback posted on them were threatening legal action. I don't want to get DG in trouble with Monsanto.

The mentioning of names of companies who have patents on particular technologies which is verifiable via the US Patent Office isn't inappropriate and the fact that they are implementing those technologies is openly proclaimed by the companies...

The devastating degree to which GMO's and terminator pollen has been used to destroy farmers lives is a matter of public court record...

If the staff requests me to remove or amend my posting >I will respect their decision...

The documentary I reccomended goes into more detail about the manner in which this technology (which I believe to be extremely detrimental) has been allowed to be implemented...especially examining the unusual nature of the 'legal' process that was followed...

I've noticed that there are over 100 threads relating to this topic to some degree scattered about this site..it is apparently of significant concern to the present and Future of all relevant Plant Life and as such to the members...

It has appeared in many different forums because the technology in question is so vast in scope and impacts on all aspects of life on this planet...

Hey Beth - I found the thread about the reports of trouble to be a gem of insight into the very subjective nature of 'interpretation'...some excellent views shared about the nature of sharing information on the forums...

It does seem as though the complainers poll or tally takes precedence over the forum population opinion who express that they do not experience any problems with the variety or of the form of the material posted...and as shared by some others in that most excellent thread...complainers are not necessarilly intrinsically any 'holier' than anyone else...cliques(composed of new and old),abuse of discretion and grudges can most certainly exist amongst complainers as well as amongst non-complainers...


Most of the people with indepth knowledge seem to have migrated away from other sites to this site and the policies of the GW as implimented by Spike is specifically cited and noteworthy example...

I very much enjoyed reading the many diverse opinions expressed in the thread...maybe it should be a sticky on the nature(!) of posting...
