Ashdown, AR(Zone 8a)

I hope it's not to early to tell which viburnum this is.

I received seeds in trade about 4-5 yrs ago. Trader wasn't sure which one it was.Rustyhaw?Nannyberry?

51 today here too. First phase of cooling went on in the greenhouse, what a pretty sight! Since we're springing ahead early this year, doesn't that mean three more weeks of summer? :-)))

Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

I hope it means 3 weeks less of winter. I like 4 seasons, I just don't like winter to be the longest, which it surely was this year. Did reach 60 again yesterday.

Well it was 6F here in Anchorage so I really love your comments of pleasant vibirnum buds. Oh it is also cloudy and depressing. LOL

I HAD a leather leaf viburnum absolutely loaded with buds. It was planted last summer. Now it has deer chewed nubs where the buds used to be. Is there ANYTHING they won't eat?

I'd think it should sprout and recover OK, but keep it fenced off to prevent further damage

Concrete (possibly?)

I've been pretty successful* with plants sprayed with a combination of Wiltproof and bloodmeal. (Needs filtering so it doesn't clog the sprayer.)

*I probably shouldn't say anything since who knows if it will continue or if some morning I'll come out to find hoof prints and stumplets at snowline!

They have never eaten the 8' steel fence that I laborously placed around my property. And the best thing is they keep the outside perimeter pruned especially where my V. Creeper is. No invasive tendencies to the neighbors property. After installing the fence you would not believe how much growth I saw in my plants. Better than good compost!
