They are getting SO big, Nadine!!! Of course, I remember at 6 weeks, Myron was as big as Emily, my Jack Russell terrier!! Pretty, pretty dogs!!
Thank you, Carter,,hey I am ready for that TX RU...are you???..lol....
Hey Nadine!! This is the first time i have seen a picture of you!! Finally great to meet you...and I LOVE the pooches!!!
Well it isn't a good one considering I am holding the dogs..I am slouching in that pic....but they are not happy that I am holding them..lol..but oh well.
I am waving HI NADINE!!! And sending big kisses to my sweet little Daisymae. She is so spoiled, a PINK pig princess for sure. LOL
Your Pashoo and Myron are beautiful too. But what kind of name is Myron for a she dog?? LOL!! I bet they keep you running at their ages. Poor Daisymae must get tried just watching them run around. LOL
Myron means White Lioness...LOLOLOL...fitting name for her..don't ya think?
Pashoo means anything that has to do with the word sweet, kind, gentle..etc...
Oh, I have always wanted a Great Pryeness, but don't know a breeder anywhere around. Guess I couldn't get one anyway until my big doggie passes on. I have all male dogs and the big one is very possessive of me. He has also attacked other dogs that have come up in the yard. Besides, I can barely manage 3 - but one day................
Update: Myron was killed last week Tuesday -Dec 4 2007 when she was chasing a coycote from our property to our neighbors across the highway..a car or truck hit her and knocked her clear across the other side of neighbors side from my driveway...I'll will miss her...
Awww.. that is so sad. I'm so sorry to hear of your loss.
What a terrible thing to happen sorry you loss Myron.

OH OH OH COOL BEANS!!! Thank you! from the bottom of my heart!!!!! Save me a girl puppy!! oh my..that picture is worth the shot.....awwwww...mmmm
How precious! So nice of you Kenboy. A new baby to occupy the time of attention of a mom who lost her best friend. You are a very good person Ken and you are a blessed person moodene.
My best friend "Old Blue" got run over by the hay baler last year and I really was missing her. DH found me a rescue dog and I have had her now for about six months. She is nothing like my old blue heeler, but she loves me and I love her. "Pepper" is a mix of Lord only knows what (rat terrier and ?maybe) , and is full of energy. She keeps my DH's dog Missy in shape by playing chase with her and they love to each take an end of a rope toy and play tug of war.
Merry Christmas to the both of you! Giver and reciever will both be blessed.
Charlene
Amen to that!!
Too cool.. that is sweet of you Kenboy!
You are indeed so very blessed. God makes sure your heart is whole again. Nice of you Kenboy.
I am sorry that you lost your baby. Guess that is why they make fences.
Makshi, for your information, coyotes don't usually live in town. Country dogs don't usually have fences. The dogs in the country are often responsible for doing certain jobs which require them to roam freely. Moodene's dog was chasing a coyote. That was a good thing, it is just a sad loss that it was across the road.
Yes, fences are good if you live in the city and want to keep your dog in. Us folks in the country don't fence our dogs in as a rule. I have two dogs right now that wouldn't go on the road if I went on it ahead of them. We have taught them not to go on the road. However, if one of them was chasing an animal that was on our property, it is quite possible for one of them to keep going if the animal went onto the road.
Given the choice of living in the city behind a fence, or in the country with my free dogs, my place wins for me hands down.
I hope your dogs are kept safely locked in your yard. Mine are not locked in, but trained to not wander away from my place. I am glad to know if my dog's thought they were chasing something bad away from me, they would keep chasing. It would break my heart to lose one. The one I lost last year was on our on property. The guy baling our hay ran over her in our own driveway. She was chasing him because his equipment was very noisy and she thought he was a danger to us.

Some dogs can't be fenced in! Had to "energize" my fence to keep mine from jumping over to chase non-invited critters.
Our dogs are working dogs too. It's not easy to lose them on the road, especially when everyone around here knows who they belong to.
I am going to Moodene's after Christmas and we'll work on getting the fence secure and figure out ways to keep the new dog safer.
Hey Nadine,
So sorry you lost Myron. I know you were proud of that dog.
Ken & Maggie,
